The fishing village where they filmed parts of Hemingway's  "Old Man and the Sea" and where Hemingway kept his boat the Pilar. His Captain still lives here, Gregorio Fuentes just turned a young 104 years old! One of the inspirations for the "old man"!! Gregorio also gave Hemingway his nickname Papa and hunted German subs off the coast during the war...You can make an appointment to visit Gregorio... way cool. Visit Hemingway's haunt La Terrazza on Cojimar harbor... see where Papa kept his boat! See the Ernest Hemingway monument presented by the fisherman of Cojimar from melted propellers.
